Picks and Piques/Snippet Film reviews 22 nd Nov 2013/Johnson Thomas Singh Saab The Great(Hindi) Rating: * * ½ A rebranding exercise aiming to transform an ageing battle weary Sunny Deol ,hitherto an action hero, into a peace loving diplomat- much like Sanjay Dutt in Lage Raho Munnabhai. He does get back into his action persona before the transformation happens, so you won’t be disappointed. Works in fits and spurts only. Sunny Deol is sincere enough though! Gori Tere Pyar Mein(Hindi) Rating: * * ½ Pleasant imperfect. This bridge over shallow waters scores on star charisma and frothy light hearted chemistry rather than solid romedy content. Kareena and Imran put their best acting face forward but it's not enough to lift the drab script from it's slushy base.
