#PorBazaar(Marathi) Rating:* * ½ Interestingly told youthful social drama with a message against girl trafficking. The performances and narration are competent enough but the lack of strong convincing punch belittles the enjoyment!
Well intentioned but not completely effective

Interestingly treated but not powerful enough.A youth friendly film, this one dares to make the youth of today aware of a social evil- kidnapping and trafficking of girls. And it’s the youth who break this ring. Interestingly told but it doesn’t pack enough punch! #ManavaNaik #AnkushChaudhary #ARDProductions #SaiTamhane #CineshoreMedia
Marathi film review
Johnson Thomas
Film: Por Bazaar
Director: Manava Naik
Rating: * * ½
Well known Marathi actress Manava Naik makes her
directorial debut with this well-intentioned cautionary tale about carefree
youngsters who stumble into an underground child trafficking network.
A film peddling social evil needs a strong voice to
give it validity and Manava’s use of Farhan Akhtar in a valuable guest
appearance gives the film a certain strength. Unfortunately, the treatment is a
little too unaffecting and embroiled in unnecessary youthful small talk to
amount to much. The youngsters inhabiting this canvas are smart and likeable
and give a good solid account of themselves. The elements meant to please the
gallery were totally unnecessary. Sai Tamhane as the lecturer who is doing a
dissertation on dysfunctions in urban youth behavior , is appealing enough. On
the whole the film is a pleasant engagement- not a fruitful one though!
