#Brothers (Hindi) Rating: * * ½  Gruesome but insecure and insincere. This legally adapted and criminally Bollywoodised   ‘Warrior’ remake has #AkshayKumar and #SiddharthMalhotra at  opposite ends of a family squabble that ends up in a Mixed Martial Arts Cage fight. Too many clichés, lack of primary focus and brawny(not brainy or lethal) performances from the two leads makes this a free style slug fest without much glory in it.  A distinctive #JackieShroff makes us go down memory lane(#Kaash to be precise) with his performance while #ShefaliShah lends impresario moments to this defused and debilitated sports movie. And the emotions are just wafer thin. #GourHariDastaanTheFreedomFile (Hindi) Rating: * * * While Gour Hari Das’ epic struggle with the establishment  (in order to prove his credentials as a freedom fighter) could have been fleshed out much better – despite that lacunae in scripting (first-timer #CPSurendran) there’s no taking away from the fact that this is a sincere, well-meaning  and partly luminous bio-pic of a man with a single minded focus on establishing a ‘mis-placed’ glory. Directed by #AnanthNarayanMahadevan who did a marvelous job with #MeeSindhutaiSapkal, this film does manage to make some bits of the emblematic journey to regaining lost dignity, rewarding. While the first hour details his frequent visits to government offices and a few interactions with journalists, it’s the post interval section that really manages to garner attention and affection-if at all. There’s not much meat in the story to warrant a full length cinematic turn  and the pedantic, all too serious, humorless, slow boat approach spells doom for theatrical plaudits.
