Israel showcases it's technology in Vibrant Gujarat Summit
The Israeli Pavilion at “Vibrant Gujarat15", by the Embassy of Israel New Delhi and Consulate General Mumbai, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Israel Export Institute, thrown open for the public yesterday.
New Delhi, January 9, 2015: Israel's Agriculture Minister Yair Shamir will arrive in Gujarat on Saturday to take part in the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015. He will lead an Israeli delegation consisting of Mr. Gil Haskel, Head of Mashav, Israel’s Agency of International Development Cooperation, officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and representatives from various Israeli companies.
Minister Shamir will participate in the Opening Ceremony of Vibrant Gujarat, besides taking part as the key note speaker at the Theme Seminar titled "Innovation and Technology in Food Processing for Sustaining Food Security".
On Monday, Israel will conduct country seminar focusing on Water Recycling, Irrigation Panel, Post-Harvest Management and Dairy.
Minister Shamir will also review the Joint Agriculture Project implemented by MASHAV, MIDH and Various States across India. During the summit both countries will sign on extending the Indo-Israel Agricultural Cooperation program.
Another part of his visit will include visiting the Indo-Israel Centers of Excellence for vegetables in Vadrad, Sabarkantha in Gujarat.
Ambassador of Israel to India, H.E Mr. Daniel Carmon, during the inauguration of the Israeli pavilion said, "We're showcasing the cooperation and the success stories of India and Israel when they join hands together on issues like Agriculture, Food Security, Water Management and Security. These issues are so important to both our countries. We have shared values, shared challenges and we are exhibiting the solutions to these challenges. We welcome all to come and witness the Indo- Israel cooperation at work."
Israel's Country Pavilion at the summit entitled "I4 - Israel Innovation In India" will focus on agriculture, water and homeland security. Israel will showcase “success stories” on the governmental and business cooperation between both countries in various fields, in India in general and specifically in Gujarat.Visitors are welcome to the Israeli pavilion at Hall 10 – C 9, Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.
