Heropanti(Hindi) Rating: * * Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s debut film with musical flashes of ‘Hero’ to back it and some super agile acrobatic stunts, fares miserably in engagement. Neither the story, music, nor the debut performances make the cut here. The revelation- Tiger can make it as action hero for sure, the rest is up to chance and hard work!
Kochadaiiyaan(3D/Tamil/Hindi) Rating: * * ½ Precipitously ambitious effort from Rajnikant’s daughter, Soundarya, who has tackled a historical in ‘Beowolf cum 300’ mold, about a legend modeled on the Pandya king Kochadaiiyan Ranadheeran who vanquishes his enemies with awesome felicity. The motion capture 3D computer animation is of a reasonably high standard for desi audiences but the story-telling craft lacks gravitas. And the never-ending song and dance makes the experience worse!
X-Men Days of Future Past(3D/English) Rating: * * * Jettisoning back and forth in time while action and nostalgia take up even measures, Bryan Singer’s most expensive X men outing will keep you entertained, even if not completely enamored or enthralled!
