Emerging fields of eco-tourism, carbon trading push demand for forest management diploma
Indian Institute of Forest Management Bhopal, a premier institute funded by Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India has called for applications for its prestigious Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management 2014-16 batch. Closing date for submission of applications isJanuary 21, 2014.
The programme imparts Management skills in the areas of forest management, environment management, livelihood and conservation management, among others.
The Forest Management course has gained greater acceptance in recent years in view of new career options emerging in fields of corporate environment responsibility, carbon trading, eco-tourism etc. The Institute holds record of 100% campus placement since its inception in 1988.
Admission to PGDFM is through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management -IIMs. Candidates short listed on the basis of CAT score will be called for group discussion and interview to be held at Bhopal, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore. 1/5th of selected candidates are also eligible to receive performance linked merit scholarship of Rs.5000/- per month.
