Mark Wahlberg in an American War Film – Lone Survivor
The film is based on a true story of the United States Navy SEALs and is being released in India by PVR Pictures on the 7th of February
‘Lone Survivor’ is an upcoming War Film starring the multi-talented Mark Wahlberg as Marcus Luttrell, an American Navy SEAL who was the Lone Survivor of the failed mission Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan. Based on the book of the same name, written by the real Marcus Lutrell himself the film is an adaptation of the True Acts of Courage that transpired at Parvat Hindu Kush.
Four members of SEAL Team 10 were tasked with the mission to gather intel, capture or kill notorious Taliban leader Ahmad Shahd under the command of Capt. Lutrell along with Michael P. Murphy played by Taylor Kitsch; Danny Dietz played by Emile Hirsch and Matthew Axelson played by Ben Foster. The film also stars Eric Bana and Yousuf Azami.
Directed by Peter Berg (of ‘Hancock’ fame); Lone Survivor accounts the heroism, the struggle, the courage and the brotherhood shown by these Men while fighting for their country as they are ambushed by an entire army of Afghans. The story, visuals and battle sequences in the film have received positive reviews as the film saw a limited release on the 27th of December in the US and is all set for Release in India on the 7thof February, 2014.

Mark Wahlberg is known for his unconventional performances, and going by the tale of this film it is more than just a movie they have managed to bring to life.
