'Bhouri' yet another film on caste oppression and gender exploitation
Jasbir Bhati, the director of successful TV series ‘Kkusum’, has completed work on his big screen debut film ‘Bhouri’. He is credited with having written the script which he and his friends collaborated on since 2006. Chandrapal Singh is the producer of the film. He is supposed to have come on board instantly once he heard the script. " It's a powerfiul and stinging story and will surely find an audience given it's stark treatment," he opines.The film stars Raghubir Yadav, Marsha Paur, Kunickaa Sadananand, Aditya Pancholi, Mukesh Tiwari, Mohan Joshi, Manoj Joshi and Sitaram Panchal.
Set in the backdrop of rural India, the film deals with various social issues concerning women. In it's own exploitative format, the film hopes to garner eyeballs by exposing a social evil that is practiced by the film industry itself. The film is being produced under Singh’s banner of S. Video Pictures Pvt Ltd.
The film had a music release function recently at a suburban 5 star hotel with most of the cast and crew doing the honors.politician Amar Singh was the presiding guest of honor at the function.
