Lapachhapi selected for Brooklyn, Hudson and Madrid International Film Festivals

Lapachhapi became the first Marathi film and the first Indian  horror film to be in the official selection of the Brooklyn, Hudson and Madrid International Film Festivals.
The new age horror film Lapachhapi, produced by Jitendra Patil of Midas Touch Movies with journalist turned filmmaker Ramachandran Srinivasan as an associate producer and directed by the award winning Vishal Furia has entered new domains where no Marathi film has dared to enter before.
Lapachhapi meaning Hide N Seek in Marathi has reached Spanish shores with the Madrid International Film Festival with five nominations for Best New Director(Vishal Furia), Best Actress (Pooja Sawant), Best Supporting Actress (Usha Naik), Best Editor (Dinesh Poojari) and Best original score (Ranjan Patnaik, Tony Basumatary and Utkarsh Dhotekar).
The film will have a world premiere, however at the Brooklyn Film Festival where Hindi films like Jagmohan Mundhra's Bawandar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Rang De Basanti have entered before, Lapachhapi has already been awarded the fourth place at the Horror Hotel Festival at Hudson, Ohio, soon after.
This is the first time in the history of Marathi cinema over a hundred years that a classic horror is being made for an audience that largely consumes comedies and dramas and is targeted at the mainstream audience.
Midas Touch Movies is producing this film which has both VFX and Post Production being done at Jai Shree Krishna Studios, Goregaon East.

Veteran journalist and filmmaker Ramachandran Srinivasan is the Associate Producer of Lapachhapi and is made on a large scale with some state of the art equipment and facilities.
The film stars Make In India fame Pooja Sawant, veteran Marathi superstar Usha Naik, and TV heartthrob turned film actor Vikram Gaikwad in stellar roles.
