Ward has been invited by Hollywood director David S Wolfe to be part of three film projects – the first one Love & Passion, starring Bollywood actress Anjanna Bhattacharya, which goes on floor this month-end. She will also make an appearance at a mega Charity Fashion  & Music event in Goa, according to a report by IndyaNewz.comthat quoted talent management agency Lynn Baxter Talent. Maitland Ward also announced on her official Twitter and Facebook accounts that she was looking forward to the projects in India and is thrilled to be visiting the country.

 

Love & Passion which will be aesthetically shot in locales like Scotland, Thailand and in southern parts of India including Goa and Pondicherry, Wolfe has revealed.

The UK-based Wolfe is also working on a film on the legendary Kathak dancer Sitara Devi who passed away recently and is expected to be in India next week for the shooting of his film Love & Passion. Speaking to IndyaNewz.com on the phone, Wolfe said that he was a great fan of the late legend Sitara Devi and has started extensive research on her life and work. I will reveal more details about this film when I come to India, was all that Wolfe would say on the telephone., actress Anjana is rumored to be part of this film project, as Wolfe has signed her on for two films.

She landed that role, which was only her second major audition, when she was 17 and still a junior in high school. Ward had guest-starring roles on USA High and the final season of ABC’s Home Improvement; and co-starred with Jay Thomas and Mario Lopez in the dramatic movie, Killing Mr. Griffin. Her character of Rachel McGuire was added toBoy Meets World in 1998, at the beginning of the sixth season, as a main cast member. This role lasted until the series ended in 2000. After Maitland Ward’s stint on Boy Meets World, she appeared in the independent film, Dish Dogs, a romantic comedy in which she co-stars with Brian Dennehy, Matthew Lillard and Sean Astin. Later, she appeared in the 2004 comedy film White Chicks with Shawn and Marlon Wayans.

Maitland Ward was born Ashley Maitland Welkos on February 3, 1977 in Long Beach, California and is an American actress. Maitland Ward is her screen name and her nickname is Ash. She is most commonly known as Rachel McGuire from the hit prime time series, Boy Meets World, and as Brittany Wilson from the 2004 film White Chicks. She married real estate baronTerry Baxter on October 21, 2006.

Anjanna has acted in films like Zilla Gaziabad, Right Ya Wrong, Chashme Baddoor and others and is a renowned theater artiste and Indian classical dancer. She has trained for over 10 years in Bharat Natayam and Kathak and has given about 250 Indian classical performances till date.
