Cricket legends come together in Sanjay Puran Singh's new film The success of sports films such as Chak De! India (2007) and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) has opened the gates for more sports films in the Hindi film industry — with Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom biopic and Shoojit Sircar’s film on football club Mohun Bagan coming up. And now, director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, who last made Lahore (2010), is coming up with a film on India’s historic win at the Cricket World Cup in 1983. Sources from the industry inform us that all the 14 players who were part of the winning team will come on board as consultants for the project.
