‘CITYLIGHT’ SHINES IN A NEW LIGHT Mumbai, April 21, 2012: An old cine landmark turns a new leaf in its seventieth year, even as the Indian film industry completes a hundred years this may. Citylight cinema, which was a prominent landmark of the centrally located Mahim area, is soon to resume service with state of the art infrastructure under a new management. The new avatar of Citylight will retain its old-time single screen ambience, but will come with an enhanced Dolby surround sound system, UFO satellite transmission, plush seating and air-conditioning, to strike a balance between the amenities of modern multiplexes, and an ambience of a diminishing culture of single screen theatres. Due attention has been paid to the spatial constraints in the ever-crowded areas of Dadar-Mahim.
