NFDC’s Island City makes its world premiere to a packed house at the 72nd Venice Film Festival ~ The directorial debut of Ruchika Oberoi stars Vinay Pathak, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Amruta Subhash and Chandan Roy Sanyal~ Mumbai, September 10, 2015 : National Film Development Corporation’s Hindi language feature Island City's world premiere at the 72nd Venice Film Festival was a resounding success. The directorial debut of Ruchika Oberoi starring Vinay Pathak, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Amruta Subhash and Chandan Roy Sanyal is competing in the Venice Days sidebar and had its premiere on 8 September 2015. The film drew quite a crowd and was screened to a packed house in Italy. The film got a standing ovation and a big round of applause at the end of the screening.
