Tata DOCOMO’s Project ‘Optimus’ awarded the 2014 QualTech Prize for Sustainability Achieves carbon footprint reduction across 10,000 locations in India Mumbai, November 24, 2014: Tata DOCOMO – the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices – has been awarded the prestigious 2014 QualTech Prize for Sustainability [1] for reducing the environmental and operational impact of its infrastructure and operations across India. Through its Project Optimus [2] initiative, across its multiple sites, Tata Teleservices Limited was able to reduce Grid power consumption of 46486 MWh & diesel consumption reduction by 12725 KL leading to an overall carbon footprint reduction of over 78874 TCO 2 .
