BESTSELLER India bags the Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Fashion for JACK & JONES, VERO MODA and ONLY.

Description: Description: Images Retail Awards 2012 Announced; Rakesh Biyani is The Outstanding Retail Personality of the YearThe ninth Annual IMAGES RETAIL Awards held in Mumbai on the night of October 11 at Mumbai’s Renaissance Hotel celebrated some of India's most outstanding achievements in retail. Seventeen very stylish trophies were awarded to India's most successful retailers who fuelled growth and innovation across multiple categories in fiscal 2011-2012.
The Most Admired Retailer of the Year Award – Fashion went to Bestseller India for JACK & JONES, VERO MODA and ONLY. This is for the 2nd consecutive year Bestseller India has bagged the award under this category.
On receiving the award, Vineet Gautam, Country Head, BESTSELLER India says “To receive this award for the second consecutive year and among such esteemed brands is truly a remarkable honor and we would like to thank Images Retail for their recognition and support. The ceremony to honour the achievements of India's leading retailers kicked off with some high-voltage entertainment. Performing on Indian retail's biggest night was Harshdeep Kaur of the Sufi genre fame. Other performers for the evening included India's youngest, brightest and sharpest stand- up comedians Tanmay Bhatt and Angela Almeida from the Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance company. The host for the evening was actor, filmmaker and winner of three national awards Rajat Kapur assisted by the very charming and accomplished Mini Mathur. Over two days at the India Retail Forum (Oct 10-11), the largest gathering of the brightest minds, products and concepts in retail came around to drive the future of retail in India. New ideas, concepts, and equations were created; old relationships renewed.

The Awards
A total of 17 trophies were awarded at the IMAGES RETAIL Awards to India’s most successful retailers who fuelled growth and innovation across multiple categories in FY 2011-12:
1. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Fashion – Bestseller
2. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Fashion Accessories – Tommy Hilfiger
3. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Foodservice – Domino’s
4. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Food & Grocery – Nature’s Basket
5. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Consumer Electronics – Croma
6. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Leisure – Ferns n Petals
7. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Mobile & Telecom – Vodafone
8. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Entertainment – PVR
9. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Home Products – Homestop
10. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Health & Wellness Products – VLCC Beauty Zone
11. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: - Health & Beauty Service – Naturals
12. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Value Retail – Megamart
13. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Non-store Retail – Myntra.com
14. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Department Store – Lifestyle
15. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Hypermarket – Hypercity
16. Most Admired Retail Launch of the Year: Retail launch – Ave.nue
17. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Innovative Retail Concept – Puma
In addition, the Orion Mall in Brigade Gateway presented two Awards of its own at the ceremony:
The Best Store Launch in Orion Mall – RMKV
Best Restaurant Launch – Toscano
The Neptune Magnet Mall also felicitated two of its star retail partners: Mufti and Bestseller.
