Point Break to hit theatres on 1st January!

Action-adventure junkies and fans of extreme sports have a treat in store for them, as PVR Pictures is releasing Point Break on 1st January. The film boasts of the most jaw-dropping feats that have never been seen on the big screen before and it has been billed as the biggest action-adventure film till date.

The high-octane action thriller revolves around a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey) who infiltrates a team of thrill-seeking elite athletes – led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). This extraordinary team of extreme-sports athletes is suspected of masterminding and carrying out a spate of outrageous, unprecedented and sophisticated corporate heists in the most unusual ways.

Replete with the most daring stunts ever seen in a motion picture, the film is a remake of the 1991 cult hit Point Break starring Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves! The new rebooted version has been directed by Ericson Core (DoP on films including Fast and Furious and director of Invincible). While maintaining the original premise, the makers have pushed the story’s physical limits beyond the wall and taken it to another level that would have been impossible 25 years ago.

Point Break that recently saw the biggest trailer launch with more than 500 theatres showcasing it with the James Bond thriller Spectre stars Édgar Ramírez (Zero Dark Thirty, The Bourne Ultimatum, Carlos the Jackal), Luke Bracey (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Best of Me, November Man), along with Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies), Delroy Lindo (Sahara, Gone in Sixty Seconds), and Ray Winstone (Noah, The Departed).

Offering a rare look into what it means to be an extreme athlete, Point Break has incorporated the most stunning exhibitions of real death-defying stunts ever executed in a film. These action-adventure feats are performed by elite athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit-flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.
Alcon Entertainment’s fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller Point Break is scheduled to be released by PVR Pictures on January 1, 2016
