Mumbai, November 13, 2015: Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari (Filmcity, Mumbai) is collaborating with NFDC Film Bazaar 2015 to present nine Marathi Films. The nine films will be part of three segments in Bazaar, the Industry Screenings and the Viewing Room, while nine producers of these Marathi Films will also be part of the Producers’ Lab.
NFDC Film Bazaar, starting from November 20th to 24th 2015, is a development bazaar created exclusively to encourage collaboration between the international and South Asian film fraternity.
Below is the list of the Marathi films from Dadasaheb Phalke Citranagari Filmcity Mumbai, which will be part of the Industry Screenings and the Viewing Room. The next film of Sandeep Sawant, (who won the National Award for his debut directorial film, Shwaas,) will also be among the nine films.

Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited DadasahebPhalkeCitranagariFilmcity and Department of Cultural Affair along with Government of Maharashtra are getting nine selected Marathi films. These films have been approved and selected by the selection committee of the Department of Cultural Affair.
Industry screenings are held at the market venue in three digital theatres equipped with optimized screens and improved sound system. The section gives producers an opportunity to showcase their films to the attending Buyers, Sales Agents and Festival Directors / Programmers. Films are screened in Digital formats only, and bookings are made on first-come, first-served basis.
‘The Viewing Room’ introduced in the Film Bazaar in 2011, presents films that seek finishing funds, world sales, distribution partners and festivals. Here, programmers, distributors, world sales agents and investors watch complete films, access their details and contact the director or producer. These films are viewed on individual computer terminals in private booths via the specially designed Viewing Room software. The Viewing Room allows access only to buyers, financers, world sales agents and festival programmers.
Producers’ Lab was set up at Film Bazaar in 2013 to provide the necessary skill sets to aspiring & upcoming Producers and to keep them abreast of the technologies and best practices available to fully exploit the potential of a film. Producers are the bridge between the creative and financial aspects of the business and they are essential in maintaining a fine balance between the two. The Producers Lab has been designed keeping the same in mind.
Nina Lath Gupta, Managing Director NFDC says, “In the past eight years, since Film Bazaar was set up in 2007, we have seen a consistent growth in terms of quality and numbers in Marathi cinema. The previous editions of Film Bazaar have witnessed some fantastic Marathi films like Highway, Court and Killa. We are confident that these mini films will achieve the same degree of success as the previous films did at Film Bazaar.”
Shri. Sanjay P Bhokare, MD at Filmcity Mumbai says, “Marathi cinema is known to have content driven films and we believe Film Bazaar to a very prestigious platform to promote the same. These nine films selected by the cultural affair department are of very good caliber and we are sure that it is going to be of international level.”

Film Bazaar in its 9th edition is exclusively created to encourage collaboration between the international and South Asian film fraternities. The market aims at facilitating the sales of world cinema in the region. The 2014 market saw an attendance of 1042 delegates from 38 countries with country delegations from Canada, South Korea and Poland. Film Bazaar will be held from 20-24 November 2015 at Goa Marriott Resort in Goa (India).
