Actor Prashantt Guptha and Miss World Manushi Chhillar celebrated International Women’s Day in New York

Actor Prashantt Guptha and Miss World Manushi Chhillar celebrated International Women’s Day in New York In the wake of an unexpected snow storm, actor Prashantt Guptha along with Miss World Manushi Chhillar celebrated International Women’s Day in New York as the chief guests for a high profile Women’s Empowerment Gala. What looked like it was going to be a washout night due to nature’s way, actually turned out to be a success with the NRI community welcoming the reigning Miss World as the pride of India, and showing full solidarity towards actor Prashantt Guptha who originally belongs to New York. He was an added addition as a part of this beauty with a purpose tour for New York where he also hosted the grand gala event. After receiving great response from the audience and media, Prashantt felt glad and honoured to be a part of the event. When asked what he felt about being a guest at a women’s empowerment gala, he was quick to reply, “Isn’t it high time men talk about it.”? However, he further adds that the next evolutionary step towards women's empowerment is that the whole concept eventually become outdated. "I feel the very concept itself suggests an inequality, and the more we talk about the inequality, the more we will continue to have of it. I'd love for us to reach the time in life where equality is second nature." Prashantt and Manushi had a great bonding during their tour to New York. Talking about Manushi, Prashantt says, “God Bless her parents for raising her so well, and herself for upholding the crown and glory of India so high. She truly respects all elders, treats all her fans with love, very humble, genuinely beautiful and very professional. So for all her dreams ahead, I request the world to bless her”. Prashantt was born in Queens, New York and has been a child performer there, and trained formally as an actor in NYC before shifting base to Mumbai. Last seen in the movie Neerja, playing an Indian-American character based on a real person from that fateful 1986 hijack of Pan Am airlines, Prashantt has worked in movies like Issaq and Identity Card, as well. Prashantt is also a good singer and got a great response from the viewers and listeners for his tribute to Baiju Bawra's Oh Duniya Ke Rakhwaale. He presently has a few features and shorts in the pipeline which he will unveil soon. --
