It was a great opportunity for students from various fields like IT, Computer Science, Data Science or the ones who solely possess phenomenal coding skills and need a platform to showcase their talent. More than 160 students from all over Maharashtra participated in this event. They applied their coding skills to tackle real-life problems, hence learning the application of coding in practical life. This was another flagship event of IET MPSTME On Campus and one of the biggest in the pool of events done before. Sheer hard work and dedicated efforts were put in by the OC (Organizing Committee) leading to a tremendously successful event. This year, IET MPSTME On Campus organized a Speed Hackathon in collaboration with HackerEarth and AASRA, the foundation aiming towards Suicide Prevention & Mental Welfare for All. The hackathon was conducted on the portals provided by HackerEarth while the problem statement was formulated in collaboration with AASRA Foundation, which is one of the biggest NGOs in Mumbai. Participants were given a problem statement and they had a time limit of 12 hours to develop and devise the best possible solution using their coding skills and available programming tools. The competition commenced at 9 A.M. and the participants began passionately. Even those who were attending a hackathon for the first time were enthusiastic to participate and experience the journey of enhancing creativity and implementing a solution. Many participants of HACK N CODE’s first iteration had participated again this year after having an amazing experience and warmth from the OC. The mentors and teachers ensured that the participants would have no doubts unsolved. With their assistance, the experience was a smooth process for the participants.
