TDSAT dismisses ad cap case in wake of SC verdict; parties free to approach HC

 

NEW DELHI: The Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has dismissed the ad cap case between the News Broadcasters Association and other broadcasters versus the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) in the wake of the recent Supreme Court judgement.

 

The TDSAT bench, which had heard the arguments of all the parties for three weeks and had reserved its judgement last week, called the parties today and dismissed the case. The broadcasters had filed petitions against TRAI's ad cap regulation.
