#SuperNani(Hindi) Rating: * * Oh No! Not #KhoonBhariMaang again? The twist is that she’s a Nani now who gets into the same get-up,Kyun Ki..I won’t go there. Needless to say she is all right and her family are all wrong. Old fashioned, antiquated plotting, strong on melodrama , banshee theatrics, hyperventilating hysterics and low on artistry. Rekha looks gorgeous and Sharman sounds strange. Moral Sermonising has little connect. #Rekha #IndraKumar #ParagDesai #UniversalPR #MarutiInternational #SharmanJoshi

#RoarTigersOfTheSundarbans(Hindi) Rating: * * Faking it! What a b(o)ore! Seeking vengeance but not getting close. No ‘real’ tigers to see just a lot of shadow dancing around in the wilds of the Sunderbans (which is stunning no doubt). The digital anime though competent, doesn’t feel alright! #KamalSadanah #AbisRizvi #ABFilms #AbhinavShukla #NoraFatehi #HimarshaV #AliQuli #AchintKaur #PranayDixit #SubratDutta #VarinderSinghGhuman

#Fireflies(English/Hindi) Rating: * * ½  Presumptive E-stranged entanglement.  Strong on Performances but low on impact. Plot not exploited or purposeful. Skirting through relationship twists without achieving any depth. Premeditatedly  Pretentious and too low on fuel to create a fire #RahulKhanna #ArjunMathur #SabalSinghShekhawat #MonicaDogra #WildGeesepictures

#Fury( English) Rating: * * * ½  There’s not much different that you can get from a World War 2 based film but this one manages to make the experience that much more painful. The experience  of Ayer's film is grim, bloody and unrelenting as it fully captures the absolute nihilism of war. Celebrating kills instead of creating psychological impact –and the finale is a lame retread of war movie conventions. #DavidAyer #BradPitt #ShiaLaBeouf #LoganLerman

#Ouija(English/Horror) Rating: * * * Quite a bucketful of well-orchestrated scares. Makes for a decent horror effort. Decent campfire story, nice visual polish with all the narrative hijinks of a good spooky experience with well-timed jump scares   #StilesWhite   #PlatinumDunesProduction #BlumhouseProduction #HasbroStudios  #DouglasSmith #ErinMoriarty #OliviaCooke #UniversalFilms

#GoneGirl(English) Rating: * * * ½   Plays queasily and gleefully at creating funny horror about a disintegrating modern marriage caused by spiraling downward mobility and lost privilege. It’s scary and bloody and perverse. Technique is as much redolent here as craft. Not entirely nuanced but Packs a wallop, nevertheless. #DavidFincher #BenAfleck #RosamundPike #ReeseWitherspoon #NeilPatrickHarris

#TheBestOfMe(English) Rating: * * 1/2 The best of Me
Soapy love story aiming for #TheNotebook experience with assembly line efficiency. Tale of two former lovers reuniting after a 21yr separation has ill-motivated swerves into violent tragedy attempting to jerk as many laughs as tears from its pre-ordained target audience
