Aleksey Fedorchenko के लिए चित्र परिणाम

Aleksey Fedorchenko, a film director from Ural Mountains that won a prize at the Venice Film Festival, is cinematizing Space Mowgli/The Kid, a novel by Strugatsky brothers.

Arkady and Boris Strugatsky are cult Soviet science fiction writers.
The global audience knows their adaptation of the novel "Roadside Picnic" (1971) - the film "Stalker" (1979) by Andrei Tarkovsky.
38 editions of the novel were published in 20 countries. The novel was first translated to English by Antonina W. Bouis.
The preface to the first American edition of the novel (MacMillan Publishing Co., Inc, New York, 1977) was written by Theodore Sturgeon

The last movie Alexey German, "Hard to Be A God" (2013) is an adaptation of the same title novel (1963) by Strugatsky brothers.
The first English translation of the novel by Wendayne Ackerman, published in 1973, was made from a German translation rather than the original Russian.
In 2014 the Chicago Review Press published the first English translation, by Olena Bormashenko, made directly from the Russian original.

TASS learned about it from the producer Dmitry Vorobyov, working on the film together with Fedorchenko:
“Of course, it would not be hundred percent Strugatsky. Rather it would be a story based on a well-known novel where Fedorchenko will surely add something of his own.
We have already some ideas and plans, but the secrets cannot yet be revealed”, – said Vorobyov.

He says that the film has already received support from the Federal Cinema Fund. Planned budget of the film is 3 million dollars.
The working title is Space Mowgli (Strugatsky novel was initially titles Operation Mowgli). The director planned this film long ago, says Vorobyov.

“Fifteen years ago, when we worked at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio, we already tried to start working on this cinematization.
We had a screenplay andanother director. It did not work. And now Fedorchenko decided to rewrite the screenplay and return to the story”.

Fedorchenko made such films as First on the Moon (Best Début Prize and the Guild of Film Critics Prize at the Sochi Kinotavr Film Festival),
Silent Souls (Best Director of Photography prize, FIPRESCI prize and the Ecumenic Jury Prize “for spirituality” on the Venice Film Festival, 2010),
Celestial Wives of the Meadow Mari

(Grand Prix of the New Horizons International Film Festival in Wrocław and the Audience Award at the 7th Andrey Tarkovsky Mirror Film Festival).

Quite recently, Fedorchenko finished his new film Angels of the Revolution

On Thursday, as we learned from Vorobyov, they have been notified by the Kinotavr Film Festival organizing committee
that the film had been included in the official selection. The release of the Angels of the Revolution is scheduled for August-September 2015.

Space Mowgli, the novel by Arkady and Boris Strugatski, makes part of the Noon Universe cycle. It is a story of the Earth child Pyotr Semyonov,
who survives a catastrophe where his parents who are astronauts die, and who is brought up by “non-humanoid” aliens from the Ark Planet.

We are ready for presales.
