Between , Dalip together with Chris Edmund, Mentor and Acting Teacher to none other than Hugh Jackman, and our very own, Mahesh Dattani, will conduct a 3-Day Beginner and Advanced Workshops for students interested in the Dramatic Arts.
Dalip Sondhi has spent over 20 years producing, directing, training and acting. Trained in the UK at London's prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama (commended for outstanding achievement at Masters Level), he has collaborated with many prominent actors as well as Australia's prestigious University of Melbourne and The Victorian College of the Arts. He has held senior positions at Hertfordshire University and at London’s elite Drama School, Rose Bruford College and has been the Program Director for Theatre Arts at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Australia’s leading Actor training Institute.
His current projects include being Producer on an Indo-Australian feature with Nandita Das and Australian Producer, Robyn Kershaw. He has also made a return to acting being asked to play a part in SUCKER and Absolution (Official selection Vancouver, Pasadena and Perth).
Dalip has recently re-located from Perth to Mumbai to launch SIIDA in India.
SIIDA is an internationally led training institute for Indian actors and directors. With a world class faculty and a focus on acting and directing courses for both theatre and film, the courses offer multi-collaborative sessions with leading Indian, Australian and British film and theatre professionals imparting unique acting/directing techniques that have been largely unexplored in India.
Mentored by Australia’s No.1 University of Melbourne and its highly acclaimed Victorian College of the Arts, courses will include master classes with some of the leading acting teachers in the world.
