Titli director Kanu Behl’s next Agra selected at Asian Project Market alongside Busan International Film Festival
Mumbai, October 1,2015: After making his directorial debut with Yash Raj Films and Dibakar Banerjee’s upcoming feature Titli, Kanu Behl’s next ‘Agra’ is selected for the 18th edition of Asian Project Market (APM) held alongside the Busan International Film Festival.
APM, the largest investment and co-production market in Asia that provides a platform to promising directors and producers to meet co-producers will be held from .
‘Agra’ is an India-France co-production and is a family comedy about a man who is madly in love with a girl and about his battle to break free from his parents and all the chaos happening thereafter
Agra is one among the thirty projects at the festival which will be held on. This year’s edition has 30 titles from 15 countries out which three are from India
The Titli director Kanu says, “It's a great beginning and an exciting opportunity for Agra to be selected at the Asian Project Market. Post Titli, this is going to be the next journey for me - still personal yet exactly the opposite in mood - and I'm looking forward to shooting it. A love story about space, family, relationships and their attached claustrophobia, it will reflect our transitional times."
The YRF- Dibakar Bannerjee film which made its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section of Cannes International Film Festival last year is set to release in India on .
Starring newcomers, Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi, Ranvir Shorey, Amit Sial and Lalit Behl, Titli is a tale of a dysfunctional family and a man’s struggle to escape his oppressive family.
