Launch of #DevilsDaughter an #IndoIranianCoproduction jointlty produced by #LuckyNadiadwalaMorani And Director #GhorbanMohammadpour
Ghorban Mohammadpour's recent success with the #DiaMirza starrer #SalaamMumbai which was released in Iranian and earned him a serious amount of money at the box-office there, has led him to his second Indo-Inranian venture -this time with the Nadiadwala family's Lucky Morani doing the honors as the Indian Producer of the film being shot entirely in Mumbai with a mixed cats and cres headlined by #JackieShroff and #EshaGupta alongside Internationally feted Iranian great #HamidFarrokhnezad and young heart-throd #Fardin. There's a small cast of Indians and Iranians playing cameos and side characters but the technicians are mostly from Iran.
#HamidFarrokhnezad was the first to arrive at the evnue and at the appointed time and after waiting patiently for almost an hour the Indian stars to arrive, decided to go back to his hotel, peeved at the disrespect and indiscipline displayed by the star actors of India, In his apology for leaving the venue before the event could commence, he stated " In my country we wouldn't keep anyone waiting -even if he was just a minor member of the production. I am disappointed at the Indian actors' disregard for other peoples time." True to his reputation, Jackie Shroff, of course sauntered in nearly an hour after the event got underway.
#JackieShroff plays the Devil and #EshaGupta, his daughter who wants to repent. For that, she must come down to earth and find a person who has not sinned. A tall order but not an impossible one I guess- (or the film wouldn't be made). #JackieShroff was of course thrilled to be playing the Devil in an Iranian film and even has ambitions to make it to Hollywood in a starring role (That was the gist of what he said at the Press conference)
#DevilsDaughter has already completed most of it's principal shooting and has just a few more schedules to go before it's May 2018 release in Iran first and then India. According to Lucky Morani, a first-time Producer, this project fell into her lap and once she heard the unusual story, she was as eager for it to be made.
