· #GolluAurPappu (Hindi) Rating: * * Another misguided attempt at comedy. Poorly scripted, directed and acted, there’s little purchase to be had here and the laughs are excessively pricey even though the film was set in Kashmir and has a sort of social message to it. #KabirSadanand #Viacom18MotionPictures #VirDas #KunalRoyKapoor #DimpleKapadia #ShobitRana #DeepakTijori #FameMedia
Hindi film review
A quickie Lost
Film: Golu aur Pappu
Cast: Vir Das , Kunal Roy Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Shobit Rana, Deepak Tijori
Rating: * *
The bomb is in the hands of two Idiots, Golu(Vir Das) and Pappu(Kunal Roy Kapoor) while Kashmir stays on tenterhooks. Dimple Kapadia plays a single Mom who wants to educate her children , Golu and Pappu, and the world, about the right kind of value system, based on her experiences. But then, who is willing to listen to her?
Both Golu and Pappu are muddle heads who cannot think straight. Kabir Sadanand aims to gather in the laughs by making his central characters look like fools. Doesn’t work though. The writing is poor, the direction less than spiffy and the performances hardly worthy. No laughs to be had even when the situation warrants it. This one should have gone straight to video!
