The festival has this year received a whooping number of 457 films from across 126 cities from 62 countries.

Jury for 2nd edition of Mumbai Women’s International Film Festival (MWIFF) announced!

The jury panel for the second edition of Mumbai Women’s International Film Festival (MWIFF) organized by Oculus Creation and hosted by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has been announced. The festival that aims to bring the talented ladies of film industry forward will be held in Mumbai from 6th to 13th December 2014.

The Jury panel list of MWIFF includes writer of ‘Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl’ Devika Bhagat, editor of ‘My Name is Khan’ , director of ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ Nupur Asthana; Film ‘Bhool bhuliayya’ writer Manisha Korde, the ace ad filmmaker Shivendra Dungarpur and Director and producer Olivier Delahaye from France who has done films like ‘The Wooden Camera’, ‘Nothing But the Truth’, etc.

The festival will be screening 152 films from 457 films received from across 62 countries. The screening of the films will take place at Liberty Cinema, Marine lines; Carnival Cinema-Borivali , Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhdevi and P.L Despande Kala Academy.

 “MWIFF being just a year old we are happy to see the response we have received towards the festival, the quality of films received and no of films received has gone up which clearly depicts the rise in women ratio in the industry. This year’s program is also rich with creativity and innovation”, says Chintan Kuvadia, programming director of MWIFF.
