Abhimanyu Singh, the actor known for his meaty portrayals of various characters in films like Gulal, Ramleela, Jazba and recent Global Baba, has bagged a role of main antagonist in Boney Kapoor’s next movie “Mom” along with ever so beautiful and charismatic actress Sridevi. Abhimanyu has always held a huge fascination for Sridevi and holds her in very high regards. While being in total awe of he was thrilled at the prospect of working with her in Boney Kapoor’s MOM.

Says Abhimanyu, “ Sridevi is a fabulous actress and a wonderful human being. We just finished a schedule in Georgia shooting under very difficult situation. It was minus 7 degrees there and the sunset would happen at 8.30 pm. The chilling cold with snow covered land and surrounding made the shoot extremely difficult and challenging climatic conditions. But her concern for the entire team made it easier. She would tell me to keep changing the socks every half an hour so I don’t catch cold. I think Boneyji and Sridevi are very large hearted people with tremendous respect for artists. Working with Sridevi mam is dream come true, she is an institute and powerhouse performer. She has been my favourite actor from college days and today I get to share screen space with her.”he further added.

While he left his mark as Ransa in Gulal, Meghji in Rameela, or the Marathi cop in Onir’s I AM, Abhimanyu marked his debut in Bollywood with Rakeyes Omprakash film AKS. His prominent works include Bollywood movies like Gulaal, Jazba, Jannat, Ram Leela, Rakta Charitra, Department, I AM, the recent Global Baba. He has worked in many other Bollywood movies including Lakshya, Dhol, Jannat, Accident on Hill Road.

Abhimanyu Singh also done substantial work in hits of south like Nenu Naa Rakhshashi, Bejawada, Gabbar Singh, Dalam, Konte Kurrallu in Telugu and Velayudham, Thalaivaa, Kottam, 10 Enradhukulla in Tamil. His role in Gulaal won him Stardust Award for breakthrough performance. He has also won praises and awards for his role in Rakhtha Charitra and Onir’s I am. He is also currently working on a mega budget Kannad movie “Chakravyuha” with superstar Punnet. He has worked in the most successful Telugu movies such as Mosagallaku Mosgadu, Oxygen which are about to release in coming months. He sure seems to be on high road and is moving upwards with speed.
