After the devastating natural calamity that occurred causing destruction of property and man in Uttarakhand last year, Badrinath is once again ready and open for pilgrims. As the very well known tradition of opening the gates of the sacred Badrinath temple in May every year goes, this year, the port to God's abode will be opened on 5th May. On this occasion, well known singer Kailash Kher will be performing in the courtyard of the temple and harmonize the pilgrimage of the devotees.

Excited about this venture, Kailash Kher said, "I'm very thrilled about going to Badrinath and showing my devotion to Lord Vishnu along with the other devotees. This is the first time that I'll be going there."
