NFDC Film Bazaar 2015 Invites Submissions for Three Labs: Screenwriters Lab, Romance Screenwriter’s Lab, and the newly introduced Children’s Screenwriter’s Lab

~The deadline for the submission of the application is April 15~

Mumbai, April 6, 2015: NFDC Film Bazaar 2015 is calling for entries for three Labs,the ninth edition of Screenwriters Lab, thesecond edition ofRomance Screenwriter’s Laband the newly introduced Children’s Screenwriter’s Lab.

The deadline for submission of applications for all the three Labs is April 15.

The NFDC Film Bazaar will be held from November 20-24, 2015 at the Goa Marriott Resort alongside the International Film Festival of India 2014.

Screenwriter’s Lab- Ninth Edition

The ninth edition of Screenwriters’ Lab 2015 will give an opportunity to six independent screenwriters to develop their skill under the guidance of a variety of industry experts from across the globe. The lab will be held in two sessions.

Selected screenwriters will attend NFDC’s Film Bazaar, Goa with an opportunity to pitch their projects there.

The films that were a part of the previous Screenwriters’ Labs at Film Bazaar include –

·         RiteshBatra’s multi-award winning film which was also nominated for BAFTA awards,TheLunchbox (Premiered at the Cannes Critics week section of the festival, 2013)

·         KanuBehl’s Titli (Premiered in the ‘Un Certain Regard’ section at Cannes Film Festival 2014)

·         Gyan Correa’s The Good Road (National Award winning and India’s selection for the Oscars)

·         The YashRaj Films’Dum LagaKeHaisha,

Romance Screenwriters' Lab – Second Edition

NFDC announces its second edition of Romance Screenwriters' Lab, which will focus on developing scripts centered around love and romance. The Lab will be held in three stages and the participants will be mentored by three eminent writers/directors from the Indian film industry.

The final session of the Lab will be held prior to Film Bazaar in Goa.  Post this session the selected participants will be given the opportunity to pitch theirprojects to prospective producers/investors at Film Bazaar.

Children's Screenwriters' Lab - First Edition

NFDC introduces its first-ever Children’s Screenwriters' Lab, where writers with Children’s films will be able to work on their respective films under the guidance of mentors.

The final session of the Lab will be held prior to Film Bazaar in Goa.  Post this session the selected participants will be given the opportunity to pitch there projects to prospective producers/investors at Film Bazaar.
