CII is organizing a Conference on Reviving Investments: Imperatives of Project Clearance at 0930 – 1530 hrs on 5 March 2014 at Sovereign Hall I, Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.

This Conference would provide a unique opportunity to participants to avail the benefit of the views of key policy makers, industry and consultants on the issue of faster clearance of several mega projects which have been stuck on account of bureaucratic delays. The two major issues of contemporary relevance which would be discussed at the Conference relate to overcoming challenges relating to environmental clearance of projects and resolving mining related constraints in project clearance.

Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission has kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest at the Conference. Other prominent speakers invited for the program include, Mr. Ajit Seth, Cabinet Secretary; Mr. V. Rajagopalan, Secretary, Department of Environment & Forests; Mr. Pradeep Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Power; Mr. S. K. Srivastava, Secretary, Ministry of Coal; Mr. R. H. Khwaja, Secretary, Ministry of Mines; Mr. Anil Swarup, Additional Secretary & ChairmanProject Monitoring Group (PMG).
