Mr Joe B Carvalho(Hindi): Rating:  *  This is the most non-creative film of the year and could well vie for the worst film accolade also. Mindless, crass and devoid of humor it’s a wonder that anyone was willing to bankroll this effort.

Sholay(3D/2D Hindi) Rating: *  *  * ½  The ever-popular mainstream classic  wears a spectacular 3D look that intensifies the interest and lends more depth and involvement to the experience..and this despite the three hour plus runtime. Make a dash for it!

The Wolf of Wall Street(English) : Rating:  *  *  *  1/2 Loathsome men committing loathsome acts-that sums it all for this Martin Scorsese film that has Leonardo Di Caprio playing the lead with splendid magnificence in this adaptation of Jordan belfort’s memoir surrounding his indulgent ride as a crooked unsavory banker of the 1990’s.  There’s plenty of Oscar buzz surrounding this film!

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty(English) : Rating: *  *  * A somewhat tame , male version of TB character, Ally McBeal,  where the titular character , a lonely, soon-to-be- out of work LIFE magazine employee meanders into flights of fancy before his life starts getting decidedly interesting and adventurous. It’s poignant and quietly engaging so worthy of a dekho for sure!

 

47 Ronin(English) Rating: *  *  Unentertaining Samurai action combined with sleepy en-action makes this quite a burden to stomach!
