#BlackHome (Hindi) Rating: * * Story based on true incidents in a remand home, has shock value but it’s hard to get empathetic when every event is overdone and primed for copious ingratiation. #ChitrashiRawat is fiery, spunky and gets to you with her free-wheeling performance. The rest is just masalafied balderdash! #FriendsIncorporate #VijayKamble #AshishDeo #AshutoshRana #MurliSharma #MohanJoshi #VishwajeetPradhan #AchintKaur
#DozakhInSearchOfHeaven( Hindi) Rating: * ½ pretentious symbolism on the theme of Hindu-Muslim unity, this film ,set in a village near Benares, tends to the repetitive, tedious and un-retentive. Noble intentions don’t always mean heart-wrenching or interesting! This is merely pointless conceptual indulgence. #ParullGossain #ZaighamImam #ABInfosoft #PawanTiwari #JALSAPictures #LalitMohanTiwari
#DilliwaliZaalimGirlfriend(Hindi) Rating: * * The usual attitudinal rom-com set in Delhi, this one makes heavy-weather of the few and far between fun moments. Performances are ok but the script lacks humor and bite #ParullGossain #IraDubey #DivyenduSharma #JackieShroff #PrachiMishra #JapinderKaur #TarnpreetSingh #ManjeetKaur #JAPFilms.
#BestFilm #Hunterrr(Hindi) Rating: * * * A rather tastefully ( if a bit wayward)rendered raunchy adult sex comedy, this one is neither exploitative nor sleazy. The language has been censored appropriately. The lead character is a randy sex addict who is misogynist interested in hetero sex ,not marriage. He hits on every woman in the vicinity- no holds barred. This could be highly entertaining downtime for those brave enough to venture forth. It taps into male sexual obsession and would appear familiar -from boys to men! #GulshanDevaiah #HarshavardhanKulkarni #RadhikaApte #SaiTamhankar #AnuraagKashyap #SagarDeshmukh #VeeraSaxena #RachelDsouza #VikramidityaMotwane #VikasBahl #SpicePR
#BestFilm #Cinderella(English) Rating: * * * ½ #KennethBrannagh’s effusive and sumptuous live-action retelling of the classic fairy tale is a wonderfully realized family feature that retains the strengths of the original while at the same time rejuvenating it for modern viewing. #BestFilm #Insurgent(English/3D) Rating:* * * The sequel to the young-adult hit ‘Divergent’ this ‘Insurgent’peddles the same kinetics with a resurgence in story-telling, mind-boggling conceptual FX, supreme action and imminently likeable lead performances while teasing the imagination with virtual-reality combat environments, dream-within-dream illusions and bounteous talents that defy physical constraints #Loudspeakermedia #KinesisFilms #Lionsgate #MauliSingh #OnitaMasquerenhas #ShaileneWoodley #RedWagonEntertainment #MandevilleFilmsProduction #TheoJames #MilesTeller #JaiCourtney #AnselElgort
#BestFilm#TheSecondBestExoticMarigoldHotel (English) Rating: * * * Another sequel, a totally unnecessary though delightful one that flaunts an abundance of charm and exotica in a far more funnier, colorful, exciting and dramatic, albeit a trifle frivolous vein than the first. The film captures India(Jaipur/Mumbai) in all it’s vibrant and enthralling majesty. With celebrated thespians essaying the major roles, it’s performance heavy and makes a song and dance of it too. It may have come second but this one’s a first in terms of sheer entertainment. #JudiDench #DevPatel #BillNighy #RichardGere #MaggieSmith#DavidStrathairn #PenelopeWilton #TamsinGreig

Running Time: 105 min.
Kenneth Branagh directs Disney's 2015, live-action take on the classic fairy tale Cinderella, which stars Lily James as the put-upon young women forced to endure a life of labor at the hands of her stepmother (Cate Blanchett) after her father dies unexpectedly. Forced to do every menial chore imaginable, Ella maintains her good spirits and eventually strikes up a friendship with a stranger in the woods who turns out to be the prince. When the royal court holds a gala ball, Cinderella wants nothing more to attend, and although her stepmother won't allow it, she gets help from a surprising source
The re-interpretation of Disney’s much loved, 1951 animation classic as a live-action one could have been tricky and with a lesser director than Kenneth Branagh, the film could have well lost it’s charm. Branagh, who has been largely associated with Shakespeare takes on this fairy tale with obvious delight. Real actors combine well with a modern sensibility to give you one of the most enchanting modern day versions of the beloved classic.
Branagh’s Cinderella retains the strengths of the original while updating a few points to suit today’s audience. It’s not ‘Ever After’ though. And that’s a good thing too. ‘Ever After’ with Drew Barrymore was quite well received even though it did not follow the traditional route. This one does , though. in fact it gives new life to the experience. Branagh and Chris Weitz, while keeping the fantasy alive, manage to make the titular character more of a strong , independent sort who has no qualms about falling in love with a Prince Charming. Ella(Lily James) and Kit(Richard Madden) have to tangle with Ella’s wicked Stepmother, Lady Tremaine(Cate Blanchett) who appears to be motivated by more than just jealousy or parental love.
The film opens with a prologue that shows us how Cinderella, Ella for short, comes to live with Lady Tremaine and her two lazy, spoilt daughters, Drizella (Sophie McShera) and Anastasia (Holliday Grainger). Ella living by her mother(Hayley Atwell)'s creed: "Have courage and be kind," finds the going difficult after her mother’s untimely death by disease and father(Ben Chaplin)’s soon after he remarries. Lady Tremaine keeps her busy doing every chore imaginable so when the grand ball is announced Cinderella has to look for her fairy Godmother(Helena Bonham Carter) to even things out.
The story gets a little more beef than the animated original. The characters have better , more rounded arches while there are additional elements added on to make it far more intriguing. As a director, Branagh , who made his Shakespeare adventures memorable, manages to lend the fairytale his own very unique and sumptuous visual perspective. The fantasy elements are a joy to behold. The ballroom scene is magnificent-in fact it is the highlight of the movie. Cinderella is made to look lovely and worthy of Princely adulation. the casting is just perfect. Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter excel in their respective roles. Even Lily James and Richard Madden add strength to the dreamy love story. Just go for it!
