Mumbai, 1st August 2014: DAR Motion Pictures, Virtue Entertainment, IME Motion Pictures and Blue Drop Films today launched the first look trailer of their much awaited, and Marathi’s first vigilante superhero movie, ‘Baji’. The highly engaging first Look trailer which has been attached to Shreyas Talpade’s home production ‘Poshter Boyz’ went live at ____ a.m. exclusively on the DAR Motion Pictures Youtube channel.
‘Baji’ which is slated for a 6th February 2015 release, stars Shreyas Talpade as ‘Baji’ and Jitendra Joshi as his main nemesis. Directed by Nikhil Mahajan, of Pune 52 fame, the movie which has already become one of next year’s highly anticipated films also features popular Marathi actress Amruta Khanvilkar as the leading lady.
The refreshingly fresh and two minute near poetic slick trailer, with its sharp and almost high saturation telling visuals, is most definitely amongst the best trailers to be seen in Marathi cinema, hinting. The trailer not just successfully gives a well defined glimpse of the lead protagonist Baji’s character, essayed to perfection by Shreyas Talpade, but also his transformation and just about enough of the plot line to keep you wanting for more. It hints at the amazing action that the film will feature as we see Shreyas in a never seen before, bloodied, angry avatar.
Shot across picturesque Konkan locales, Baji is an action-adventure-romance laced superhero vigilante film that transcends both folklore and present day. It is based on the legend of a man who took upon himself to protect the common man against oppression and injustice. His sword, his bow-arrow and his white stallion live on to define him.

Blue Drop Films is a film production company based in Mumbai. Previously they have line produced Pune 52. Their first Hindi film ‘Maa Bhagwatiya IIT Coaching Classes’ is slated to start production end-2014. They will co-produce ‘Dainik’ alongwith IME Motion Pictures.
