What’s in a name? Well…when a filmmaker doesn’t even manage to come up with a decent moniker to describe his film’s excesses then you know for sure that there isn’t much hope to be had there.

‘Hum Hain Teen Khurafaati’ is an attempt at juvenile comedy that goes sour within the first few frames itself. It revolves around three friends who repeat a college year for four years running and now have to chose whether to manage to scrape through and earn their respective degrees the hard way or to leave ignominiously as failures.  It seems the college has finally woken up to their collective failures and has deemed it necessary to give them such an ultimatum. The three leads mausam, Shreya and Pranshu enact the roles of the three collegians who are aspiring to be actor, director and writer, respectively. 

Rajeev Gupta’s story is derivative of several youth centred films we have seen of late and Rajeshwar Sharma’s narrative can’t really find a steady enough meter to keep the proceedings interesting. We are treated to juvenile antics in the name of Bollywood aspirations- there’s really no fun to be had in that anymore. There’s barely any creativity involved in the plotting and the songs are irritants more than welcome breaks. The performances are also quite hapless and exasperating for most part of it. Not even a little value for money here!
