#BalwinderSinghFamousHoGaya(Hindi)Rating: * ½  Shaan and Mika double up as Balwinder Singh, but it’s not funny. The sight gags, the ponderous wooing and the infantile treatment make it all so tedious and unappetizing.  #SunilAgnihotri #1HMedia #Mika #Shaan #RajpalYadav #VindooDaraSingh #Tips  #GabrielaBertante #AnupamKher

Lost in a name!

Film: Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya

Cast: Mika, Shaan, Rajpal Yadav, Vindoo Dara Singh, Gabriella Bertante, Anupam Kher

Director: Sunil Agnihotri

Rating: * ½

Mika and Shaan, hitherto prolific song birds decide to wear the pancake for this new offering from Sunil Agnihotri.  To add to that confusing decision to ape their physical alter-egos on screen, there’s this complication of both singer-actors essaying the roles of characters having the same name- ‘Balwinder Singh.’

The twosome are only too happy to become famous competing to win the heart of a pretty damsel(Gabriella Bertante). Anupam Kher strives to be an impediment in this convenient triangular love story attempted as a comedy with explicit sight gags, ridiculous slap stick, distressing cross-dressing antics and irrationally trite attempts at humor. One would have expected some interesting songs at least from the duo but even that is not to be had. The music is terribly mediocre, As actors both singers are terrible. Neither Shaan nor Mika can overcome the handicap of having been the voice of better looking actors/Stars.

The writing is pedestrian, the dialogues come across as stupid while the narrative mechanics lack timing and bite. So stick your neck out for this one only if you have a death wish!
